Post Remediation Process:
Once the Remediation or Abatement process is complete, it is recommended, and is usually required, by most abatement contractors that a Post Abatement Test or Re-Test be taken.
A Post Abatement test is taken to help determine that the remediation has been performed properly.
The typical retest usually consists of at least two exterior control samples from the air, an air sample inside the contained area, and at least one surface sample from the area that was cleaned.
If the sample results come back clean, you keep the test results for your records, as a proof of correction.
We can also provide a Certified Post Remediation Survey (Clearance Letter) by our Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) if needed for an additional fee.
Should the
retest results still show growth or elevated levels in the air
of the indicator molds, then further cleaning would be
recommended.
