MOLD SAMPLING

Sampling Procedures

The sampling methods adhered to by CEHIs are derived from guidelines established by the National Association of Moisture Management (NAMM), the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), EMLAB P&K’s MoldScoreTM and certain equipment manufacturers.

The Inspector is guided through the Certified Moisture Inspection (CMI) process by customized software developed by ESP and running on the Tablet PC. This software guides the CEHI through various regions of the home, ensuring a consistent and standardized inspection based on the NAMM protocols.

(CMP) Certified Mold Professional certification granted by (NAMM) National Association of Moisture Management. NAMM is a non-profit association that was formed out of a need to educate and protect the consumer from problems associated with mold and moisture

(CMI) Certified Moisture Inspection: Is based on the CMP training and protocols from NAMM. The CMI is an inspection only. Its purpose is to uncover moisture intrusion issues and to determine if mold sampling is appropriate.

If Mold samples are required an additional fee will apply.
