CERTIFIED MOLD & MOISTURE INSPECTION (CMI)

The CMI is the new industry standard for conducting Mold & Moisture Inspections. This on-site inspection is supported by a fully automated system that produces a standardized report by utilizing a tablet PC and a centralized custom software application.

The CEHI is guided through the Certified Moisture Inspection (CMI) process by software running on the Tablet PC. This custom software guides the CEHI through the various areas of the home, to ensure a consistent and standardized inspection. The software is designed to identify areas of suspected moisture intrusion and/or mold.

The report is color-coded and easily understood. The color indicators (red, yellow, or green) in the CMI report provide a powerful graphic indicator of any areas of concern and recommends which ones be sampled.

Once the CEHI has explained the CMI report to you and you have approved the recommendations, the samples are collected following the National Association of Moisture Management (NAMM) protocols. NAMM is an industry recognized non-profit organization. All samples are packaged and chain of custody documents are completed before they are shipped to an AIHA (American Industrial Hygiene Association) EMLAP ISO 17025 accredited Laboratory (presently there are only about 100 laboratories in the country that maintain this high standard) to ensure that accurate analysis is conducted.

After the laboratory has provided ESP with results, the data is entered into the CEHI Interpretive Report (IR) Server. The metrics in our IR software produce a color-coded easy-to-read standardized analysis report that includes recommendations for remediation based on the results.
